Be Like Water

Be Like Water

My initial programing from my paternal units was not a calm state of being. I don't blame them any more, they were aliens. Well, one was. They didn't choose me any more than I chose them, at least on the most obvious levels.

I'm working on this initial programming in the same way water works on things... Unceasingly, determinably, consistently. Water can change things dramatically, but also most subtly, without sharp edges and yet flowing, smooth, rough, intense, still, calm, but most importantly, powerfully.

I don't want dramatic change now - that smacks too much of the first phase of life. I'd like to be quietly powerful. At least privately - powerful over my fears, because my control springs from fear, not from peace.

How does this all relate to soap making?

Finding my quiet place, inside me, deeper than the surface of "Hi, how are you?" to myself but not as deep as a dream. In the theta place of mediation, before my need to organize and "straighten" things in my home, the place where faeries manifest in my imagination and soap gremlins are mischievous but not cruel, the place where ideas manifest into a slightly chaotic workspace and enchantments appear in the shape of soaps... To exist in this place is where my soap-magic springs forth and the feeling of this place is water.

My goal for today is to be like water.

Thank you, Deepak Chopra

1. Today I will commit myself to detachment. I will allow myself and those around me the freedom to be as they are. I will not rigidly impose my idea of how things should be. I will not force solutions on problems, thereby creating new problems. I will participate in everything with detached involvement.

2. Today I will factor in uncertainty as an essential ingredient of my experience. In my willingness to accept uncertainty, solutions will spontaneously emerge out of the problem, out of the confusion, disorder, and chaos. The more uncertain things seem to be, the more secure I will feel, because uncertainty is my path to freedom. Through the wisdom of uncertainty, I will find my security.

3. I will step into the field of all possibilities and anticipate the excitement that can occur when I remain open to an infinity of choices. When I step into the field of all possibilities, I will experience all the fun, adventure, magic, and mystery of life.

Greetings!
I bought your book and have started to go through each recipe…. I have to ask…. how much silk do you put in? Your book doesn’t talk about additives like silk … I just wondered if you could give me a Guideline ? I’m having a lot of fun creating soap

Thanks
Kim.
