Creating the World You Want to See
Beyond ANY Sales Pitch
I stink at sales pitches, particularly those I don't believe in. But when I do believe... I want to share that type of magic.
In a landscape saturated with talking heads promising everything from six-figure transformations to life-changing morning routines, I find myself gravitating toward something increasingly rare: authentic offering without coercion.
You know those social media posts, the ones that insist you "swipe up now" or warn that "this offer expires at midnight." Instead, why can't they show something beautiful or useful and trust you to decide if it speaks to you?
I have unshakeable faith in this unseen process. I have built many things based on this idea, particularly my favorite relationship with the man I married.
The Question That Started Everything
This observation led me to wonder: How do we share what we've made without contributing to the noise of the mundane?
The answer, for me, came through this way: I decided to create exactly what I wanted to encounter in the world, and then share it.
Instead of crafting products to fill market gaps or respond to demands, I wrote the stories. I was desperately seeking a way to see this upside down world, but couldn't find a place of refuge without a motive. I looked for stories that would let me completely escape the exhausting reality of Powers That Be making decisions with inexplicable motives.
I wanted a world that offered comfort, insight and a place to rest, away from the daily grind.
Building an Alternative Reality
The world of the Wardenguard Sisters emerged from this need for creative sanctuary.
These are new and unique stories, I’ve not read anywhere. A rich world with their own codes, motives and insights.
Here, five women preserve wisdom through handwritten letters, practice magic through kitchen rituals, and maintain connections across distance through genuine care rather than algorithmic engagement. Their concerns center around protecting each other, sharing knowledge freely, and honoring traditions that nourish rather than exploit. Along the way they share their secrets for those willing to read their words.
In creating their world, I found myself crafting the antithesis of contemporary digital culture:
- Slow communication through thoughtful letters rather than instant demands for attention
- Practical wisdom shared freely rather than hidden behind paywalls
- Genuine relationships built on mutual support rather than transaction
- Ancient knowledge preserved for its inherent value rather than its marketability
The Art of Offering Without Pushing
This approach naturally influenced how I share my work. Rather than constructing elaborate sales funnels or deploying psychological triggers, I simply present these stories as they are: a refuge I created for myself that might offer the same sanctuary to you who may be seeking the similar comfort.
The Sisters' letters don't promise to change your life or unlock hidden potential. They don't insist you need what they're offering. Instead, they exist as a quiet alternative, available for those who recognize their own longing reflected in these pages, a moment to dip out of your world into an adult magical world.
Creating vs. Consuming the World
Perhaps the most profound shift has been moving from consuming the overwhelming noise of social media to creating the quiet space I actually wanted to inhabit. Instead of endlessly scrolling through content designed to make me feel lack, I've poured that energy into building a magical world where women support each other without ulterior motives based on real relationships.
These ideas and stories have strengthened every relationship I have in observable ways.
This isn't just about writing fiction, it’s about modeling a different way of being creative and generous in public spaces. When I create from authentic longing rather than market research, I contribute to the very change we wish to see.
The reality is, yes, I do need to earn a living from my creative work. But that necessity doesn't require abandoning integrity or contributing to the culture of false urgency that makes digital spaces feel increasingly hostile to the human spirit.
The Letters of Misunderstood Magic series is available for those seeking literary refuge from the noise. Stories waiting for you.
