Being a "stone man" is being perfectly neutral in attitude and emotions. A stone.
At times, I reflect through my face. This is my practice for my internal climate. I practice being a "stone man" and do not smile at hikers on the trail. I don't frown. I simply hold a placide, calm face.
I find it curious how many people passing judge my posture as an offense against them, as if I'm being rude. If they only knew my internal climate was striving to reflect that on the outside - neutrality.
I can make stone men in soap, but it baffles the greatest minds to how these statues were created by ancient "primative" humans.
