Confused Bee
A bee sat on my finger. It just crawled around until I flicked it in the air telling it "bee, you're confused. I am not a flower."
People were coming on the trail. I ran as far as I could, as hard as I could. When my lungs burned, I stopped and walked. I heard something. A buzzing noise, close and loud. Looking up, I saw a swarm of bees around the top of a low tree. Thousands of bees. I admired them a moment then walked on realizing I was no longer afraid of bees. They were just doing their job. They, unlike many humans, have a purpose. I was no threat and they had no interest in me. I cannot say the same for humans.
When people get confused, telling them they are incorrect is not so simple. When I say I do not wish you harm I mean it. I strive to do more good than harm, in all my endeavors. I strive to be this way, not because of you, but because of me.
I speak and write as clearly, fact based as possible, leaving emotions for another time. I strive to not allow anger to dictate my actions or words. I know you don't know me, but I am this type of being. (If you don't believe me, read my blog posts, watch my interaction on-line, read my books.) If something goes sideways I will help you. If you treat me with neutrality, I will respect you. If you act with anger, I cannot help you. Your anger-glasses cloud your vision and my words. As much as I try to help you nothing gets past your glasses of anger unlike bees.
What You Pay For When Purchased Any Ebook
Here is the deal, when you download an ebook it is yours. This doesn't mean the text is alterable or you can share it with others without author's permission. This behavior would diminish the author's desire to write.
These points aren't just about my books, but all authors. No matter if you like the material or not time, experience and effort went into offering the book to you.
Without Giving Up the Ghost
As much as possible is shared by writing explanations, book reviews (and that is no small task to get a review) and insights to the document so you know what you are purchasing before you buy and the website.
All those months of writing (sometimes years), years of photography (for me) and then hours of writing, re-writing, hiring a copy editor are more hours than I can enumerate. All this in a convenient ebook that is downloaded to your email to do as you see fit: read it on your phone, desktop or print it out.
An Enchanted Book of Peculiar Ideas and Soap Potions is a PDF, which means it is a document you can view on anything that can read a PDF, however, it's up to you where you save the ebook.
You pay for all those little tasks of writing of these books, this website (without the website you could not download the book), me being on call 16 hours a day (I have to sleep) answering your questions when something goes sideways, time spent in making it available daily and a million other little tasks to keep it all running. This does not take into account making soap, which is the practice of this book.
I say this because often times these things are not considered when dagger-like emails are sent to me because someone doesn't understand how ebooks function.
What To Expect After Purchase
Once you pay for the book an email will be sent with a link.
It will be sent in minutes, so if you don't see it in the email you provided search the title of the book you purchased in your email account. Click on this link and download the PDF / eBook. Remember where you saved your book so you can open it and read it.
This email might end up in your spam folder.
Did you know there is a search feature in your email box? Up at the top, look for the magnifying glass, which is generally a color. In gmail it is long grayed out box right above your email.
When I corrected that little bee, it redirected itself and flew on. It did not come back to sting me.
