Why Is An Enchanted Book of Peculiar Ideas and Soap Potions Important?
There are many reason I make soap like I do, but one of the most important is because I want others to use this soap and enjoy the use as much as I do.
Each soap I make has the end user in mind, you. How will you hold it? Will you get continued enjoyment as this soap wears away? What scent will remind you of the design long after it has worn away?
Mostly what I want is for you to feel some form of joy - delight, enchantment, curiosity... That is the ultimate goal. Because after all, having clean enough water to bath in is joyful, but having a soap that delights and may cause you to use your imagination, that is a real gift.
How to create joy?
This is real Sorcery, real magic, in a world where magic is not obvious. How to get into the position, the state of mind to create something joyful?
It starts with you. I'm sorry to tell you that, well... I am and I'm not. I'm sorry to tell you this because I know you've suspected it all along. Trying to get others to change to suit you, even if you're right, never works out well. But change yourself? You can control that! And think about this, you know how hard it is to change yourself, your behaviors, you knee-jerk emotional responses? It's many times harder to be changed by someone else or to try and change someone else.
So, your gift is that all you need to be concerned with, in this moment, if changing yourself.
Often times we have trepidation when it comes to change. Find reasons to move past trepidation into an attitude of curiosity. Creativity rides on the coat-tails of curiosity.
Change Can Be Joyful
I offer some insights on how to invite joy, repeatable steps and actions you can take to put you in a joyful place. Even if the joy-fairy doesn't show up on your first try and bop you on the head with her wand of delight, keep at it, because often times joy comes in right after curiosity. If you can be curious, even for a moment, there is a better chance of joy appearing.
How is this possible? Because fear and curiosity cannot be in the same place. If fear is gone joy has a much better chance of arriving.
Creations that spring from joy can change another person. Joy transforms the other. If not permanently, but definitely for the moment. That is about all we can ask for... Right now, anyway.
That is the very reason I wrote An Enchanted Book of Peculiar Ideas and Soap Potions, to help you get in a place free from fear and open to curiosity... Where this type of Soap Sorcery will come to you, easily and as often as you choose to call it in. All from soap.
