Bee Iyata’s newest book The Magic of Soap Dough had me enchanted from the dedication. She pours so much heart and truth into everything she does. And Magic. Pure, inspiring, tickle your inner muse, magic comes forth from this book as well with a lot of what could be called “practical magic”. I have been avidly soaping for over four years as well as voraciously studying the art, yet I walked away with many techniques I never knew.

Brilliant, insightful, helpful information that is common sense and yet I have never stumbled across or thought of. Sprinkled among the pages are beautiful pictures of her creations and she wraps everything up beautifully with soap dough recipes and color recipes (including 2 different reds). Now that is magical!

There really is magic here! Right from the start, Bee writes in such a way that I feel like I'm being drawn into a Fairie circle in the forest where there is nothing but fireflies and possibility. I was only a few minutes in and felt the mystical energy I usually only feel with reading the Tarot cards or Runes. I went down the rabbit hole for sure. That's how this book makes you feel. As for factual information, well you won't get more factual information on Soap Dough anywhere else. Bee invented this stuff!

I couldn't put Bee's book down from the moment I opened it. I was hooked right from the introduction. It is presented like a well written story. Bee has mastered the art of Soap Dough into a magical world of formations, a magical soapy world of her own that is so inspirational. Her creations are brought to life in 3D and she has taken the possibility into a whole new dimension. Every single step and detail is covered in this book, so much so, that one feels like they could easily create soap dough magic after reading.

Magically journey

This book takes you through the magic of the soap dough process.

Comprehensive Soap Dough Book

I didn't initially purchase this book, and went straight for the recipe book. Patience is not my strong suit, and I was excited to go down this rabbit hole. However, Sorcery Soap's marketing is very convincing, and I'm glad I ended up purchasing this. The Magic of Soap Dough gives the entire picture of the process, gives all the what, how, why (and why nots) and inspires the reader to take the information and run wild with it. If you are anything like me, please don't skip the important step of reading this.

Enchanting

The book "The Magic of Soap Dough" is both informative and beautifully written. I have done a bit of polymer sculpting, but nowadays I'm up to my elbows in soap. This book has given me a way to get the best of both worlds, sculpting soap! I have made a batch of soap dough following Bee's direction to a tee. It came out perfectly! I don't even need to use cornstarch,(in previous attempts I thought I'd have to take out stock in the company :). The dough is a smooth soft consistency and a pleasure to work with. Thanks, Bee for sharing your magic and inspiration!
